What is a career coach anyway?
If you’ve ever felt stuck in your career, unsure of your next steps, or frustrated that you're not reaching your full potential, you’re not alone. That’s where a career coach comes in. But what exactly does a career coach do?
A career coach—like me!—is someone who helps you clarify your goals, create a personalized strategy, and take real, actionable steps to achieve them. My success is driven by your success—I want to see you soar in your career, whether that means landing a better job, gaining confidence in your skills, or finally making a change you've been dreaming about.
How Career Coaching Works
The process starts with a free 15-minute consultation where we’ll chat over Zoom. This is a no-pressure conversation to help me understand your situation, challenges, and goals. From there, if we’re a good fit, we’ll schedule a full 50-minute coaching session where we go deep into what’s holding you back and how to move forward.
But coaching isn’t just about the time we spend on the call—there’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes. Before our session, I research your industry, your challenges, and the opportunities available to you. I don’t just give advice off the cuff; I tailor everything specifically to you to ensure we’re working toward real, lasting change.
What to Expect in a Career Coaching Session
During our coaching session, we’ll identify your roadblocks and create a game plan. This could involve:
✅ Identifying missing skills and how to develop them
✅ Boosting confidence and overcoming imposter syndrome
✅ Job search strategy and resume optimization
✅ Interview preparation to help you stand out
✅ Career transitions if you're looking for something new
Coaching isn’t a one-and-done process—it’s a journey. Many clients find that multiple sessions give them the accountability and strategy they need to see real results. Between sessions, I continue to research and refine our approach, helping you stay on track.
At the end of the day, my role is to guide you toward success, step by step, until you're living the career (and life) you truly want.
So, if you’ve ever wondered "Am I meant for something more?", the answer is YES! And I’d love to help you get there.
